Welcome to the Year 2 students English & Maths holiday workshop! Our focus will be Welcome to the Year 2 students English & Maths holiday workshop! Our focus will be ✨ LITERACY FOCUS • Reading fluency & comprehension – reading texts with expression and accuracy, answering literal and inferential questions • Writing – planning, drafting and publishing short texts with correct sentence structure and punctuation • Spelling & word knowledge – applying phonics, spelling patterns and high-frequency words to writing ✨NUMERACY FOCUS • Place value & number sense – reading, writing, ordering and grouping numbers to at least 1000 • Addition, subtraction, multiplication & division strategies – using mental, written and concrete methods to solve problems At this 90 minute workshop, our specialised teachers will be helping children learn and improve in various areas above. We know learning doesn’t always come easy or naturally for some children, so we’ve made sure our program is designed to accommodate students of all ability levels.
